My good friend became a homeowner not long ago.

I wanted to make something that followed the idea of protecting your home

I forged a small blade from salvaged steel found on her property,

and gave it a handle of Walnut, with a sleek magnetic case.

I burned a stylized monogram into the handle, and created a glowing moonlight motif

using crushed quartz from her property, and light-reactive pigment.
